Suzanne DellOrfano, MSW, LCSW-C

Suzanne has training and experience working with women impacted by trauma and how this may be contributing to their current functioning. Women impacted by trauma and how this may be contributing to their current functioning. She uses a variety of techniques to address each individual’s unique needs and strengths using a psychodynamic approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, and is solution-focused.
Suzanne received her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Washington. She completed her clinical training at the Children’s Hospital of Seattle and is licensed in both Washington state and Maryland. Suzanne also completed several advanced courses in maternal mental health.

Suzanne is extremely passionate about women receiving the best mental health. She will work with our team to provide the best treatment outcomes while partnering with each individual on their unique needs. Suzanne uses warmth and compassion when working toward long-term and sustainable treatment outcomes.

Samaneh Keshavarz, MD

Dr. Keshavarz offers therapy, lifestyle changes, and medication where appropriate and is dedicated to creating a partnership with her patients that allows them to feel truly heard and supported in their care. and is dedicated to creating a partnership with her patients that allows them to feel truly heard and supported in their care.

Dr. Keshavarz graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Physiology and Neuroscience. She earned her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and completed her psychiatry residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. During residency, she trained in the MARCH Clinic (Maternal and Reproductive Community Health) at Georgetown University Hospital, where she also facilitated a postpartum mothers’ support group. She additionally completed the National Curriculum in Reproductive Psychiatry, further strengthening her expertise in caring for women throughout the reproductive life cycle.

Dr. Keshavarz is passionate about helping women feel understood, empowered, and cared for through every stage of life.

Drew Myers, MD

Women’s Psychiatrist

Drew Myers, M.D., is a University of Maryland-trained psychiatrist with a specialization in women’s mental health. As a reproductive psychiatrist, she recognizes the subtleties that can arise across the reproductive life cycle, including during pregnancy, menses, and menopause. Dr. Myers is passionate about women’s mental health
Her approach to psychiatry is holistic, as she utilizes psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, and medications. She works with patients in a thoughtful and empathetic manner to create a treatment plan that addresses their unique needs. Dr. Myers also works as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she supervises the clinical duties of residents. Dr. Myers serves as an exam developer for the perinatal mental health certification by Postpartum Support International.

She is an Honors College graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she received her BS in Biological Sciences with a minor in chemistry. She received her M.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine – Greenville. She completed her adult psychiatry residency training at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt. During her residency training, Dr. Myers received specialized training and experience in reproductive psychiatry. She also underwent rigorous training by the National Curriculum of Reproductive Psychiatry. Dr. Myers has published multiple articles, including an encyclopedia article on women’s mental health. She has also presented on care models in women’s mental health at a national psychiatric conference. 

Harita Raja, MD

Founder and Medical Director

Harita Raja, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in women’s mental health. She is a reproductive psychiatrist, which means that she understands the intricacies of psychiatric problems that occur before, during, and after pregnancy, and their treatments. She also has expertise in the hormonal changes that occur from menses to menopause.

Dr. Raja founded Bethesda Women’s Mental Health to provide women with a place to obtain compassionate and knowledgeable psychiatric care. She works closely with her patients, their loved ones, and their providers to find the best treatment plan. 

Dr. Raja received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She completed her psychiatry residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, after serving as chief resident in her final year.  She continues to serve as a Clinical Instructor at Georgetown University Hospital in the Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Raja has published numerous articles and a book chapter about women’s mental health.  She has also presented her work at various local and national psychiatric meetings.  She is the founder of the DMV Menopause Providers Group and a member of the D.C. Women’s Mental Health Consortium.  Dr. Raja is dedicated to educating women and the community about women’s mental health and the options for treatment using a holistic perspective.
